Have you missed the Village Inn? I sure have (although I haven’t missed the Saturday morning hangovers!).
The BVA officers, together with fab resident advisor Jo Hart, met at the beginning of July to discuss the pros and cons of organising some kind of social gathering, and after much deliberation decided that a fairly low-key outdoor Village Inn-type event was something that we could safely and practically trial. Pete Knight, Chair of BVA comments “We will of course do everything we can to make the event as safe as possible for anyone who attends”.
The bar will be open but drinks will be ordered, paid for and collected from the terrace at the back of the village hall. Access to the hall will be restricted to use of the toilet (one toilet to help prevent any social distancing mishaps), and sanitising equipment will be available on the day.
Please do not attend if you are feeling poorly or think you may have been exposed to Coronavirus.
Pete continues “I’m very grateful to everyone who has either helped with the planning of this first event and/or with the practicalities on the day. We are very lucky to have such a dedicated band of willing volunteers.”
Look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday 2 August from midday.
