Brettenham Gardening Club
Final update on the Village Green and THANK YOU:
The water supply on the Village Green is now up and running and in full use. We have been so grateful for it during the recent heat wave!
Firstly a huge thank you to Peter H-T, Carl and Dennis from Park Farm for helping us with the equipment and all the water they have donated over the years to date which has allowed us to look after the plants so well on the green until now. Secondly a really big thank you to St Mary’s Church for allowing us to place the water container in the churchyard. Next we need to thank all those who helped with getting the water supply installed: Thank you to Gwinnie for getting the ball rolling with Anglian Water and for donating the hose and reel.
A massive thank you to Grahame Moulding for liaising with Anglian Water and helping with his expertise, muscle power and with Andrew installing the pipework and equipment on the
Green ready for Anglian Water to connect it to the mains supply.
Thank you also to Andrew Gooderham for helping us with filling the water tank when we really needed it and for his efforts on the Green. Then we need to thank those who helped the Gardening Club make all this possible: Thank you to the Parish Council for giving us permission to install the tap and for agreeing to pay the ongoing costs of the water supply.
Lastly but not least a big thank you to the BVA for their generous contribution to the cost of installation.
All these grateful thanks show that the project really was a joint effort and just what a lovely co-operative village Brettenham is! I hope you will all agree that the lovely displays on the Green are well worth everyone’s hard work.
